The DOT reduced Columbia Park Trail to a single lane where it enters and exits the roundabout, which greatly reduced the possible confusion and chances for collisions.

Then, a peak-load stoplight was installed on Columbia Park Trail for cars coming from the east. That way, heavy rush-hour traffic coming off highway 240 would only be slightly impeded by traffic heading west.

All in all, the roundabout is safer and less confusing than when it was introduced.
